Hello everyone! Coming back from the Easter holidays we have 3 new features and improvements many of you were waiting for. Read on to find out what’s new this month.
1. Require affiliates to confirm their email address
With the new double opt–in option, you can require affiliates to confirm their email address. This means an additional step to the registration process and reduces the chance of spam addresses. Go to Settings >General > Require affiliates to confirm their email address and enable this feature if you want to include a confirmation link in the affiliate registration email. Without confirming, they won’t be able to log in to their affiliate panel and the tracking will not work for them.
⚠️ Note: This new feature is available for all platforms!
2. Set a fixed minimum payout value for affiliates
We added a new option to Settings > Payment > Default minimum payout: ‘Affiliate can’t change this value’. When enabled this will show your affiliates the amount you set above as a fixed value in their panel which they can not change themselves anymore. If you want your affiliates still to be able to choose their own minimum payout sum leave this box unchecked.
⚠️ Note: If the option is disabled the affiliate can set the value only to a higher amount than the one you set.
3. Auto associate emails for specific affiliates
As of now, you have the possibility to enable the automatic association of emails for specific affiliates only. To use this new feature make sure the global setting ‘Auto associate emails with affiliate’ (Settings > Tracking > Email tracking settings) is disabled. Then check the boxes for the specific affiliates in the column ‘Emails associated’ in the list below.
⚠️ Note: This new feature is available for BigCommerce, Shopify, and Ecwid!
Leave us a comment and tell us if those new features make your affiliate management easier or not. We’re eager to know! Your feedback will help us to make Affiliatly even better. Next month we’ll be back with more updates. Stay tuned!
Thank you for continuing to make quality improvements!
You are welcome! 🙂
What is the auto associate emails?
Hi Vivian, the auto associate emails option is a function used in the Email tracking method. You can see that tracking method in your Affiliatly admin panel > Settings > Tracking > Email tracking settings. For more info about the tracking methods check this blog post: https://www.affiliatly.com/blog/methods-tracking-affiliated-users/#by-email
We would love to have a way to tag affiliates into categories then filter when needed, for example Influencers, lotalty, cash back, publication etc, if we could create our own category would be best
Hi Daniel, Unfortunately at this time there is no way to group affiliates into specific categories within the Affiliatly app.
Is there a way to apply the same tiered commissions from link tracking for email tracking?
